In the latest phase of a national public health initiative, U Surgeon General David Satcher joined other public health officials in Boston this month for the unveiling of the final agenda for the Healthy tribe 2010. The initiative provides a road map to improve public health from one side of to the other the next decade with 467 objectives in 28 focus areas that lead toward the twin goals of increasing the quality of years of healthy life in an aging nation and eliminating health inequities among diverse populations.
