This week, Lynda Coyle will join thousands of her colleagues in speech-language pathology and audiology at the ASHA Convention in Washington, DC yet she'll be attending for free--thanks to her first-prize-winning submission to ASHA's advocacy struggle to defend
The debate was held as part of ASHA's 2000 Priority the same issue on advocacy. Last spring, members submitted their creative ideas forward how to use core advocacy messages to deal with the Medicare prospective payment regularity and to promote the professions. Coyle's submission was culled as the winning entry in a random drawing.
