Researchers and academics in communication sciences and disorders met at separate town meetings at the 2000 ASHA Convention in Washington, DC to consider ways to shape their respective coming times ASHA members and honored visitors voiced their opinions and participated in lively exchanges forward a variety of subjects relevant to their areas of interest. A faculty reception attended on 425 people was held in conjunction with the Academic Town Meeting.
