I've just read Ellen Uffen's preview of the Ingham, Fox Ingham, and Zamarripa work forward an association between premotor neural activity and stuttering (The ASHA Leader, Oct 3 p 9) Does this finding mean that stuttering might be an anticipatory apprehensive hypertonic avoidance reaction?
