Sometimes it looks like things happening on Capitol Hill are far remov from the day-to-day reality of practicing speech-language pathology and audiology. There are a number of issues, however, being debated in Washington this year that will have a direct impact forward clinical practice, and upon funding for university programs and scientific research.
Whether we like it or not, the federal rule is more involved than through all ages in health care and education. That's for what cause [i]or[/i] reason ASHA has taken degrees to increase its federal advocacy capabilities.
