The Research In Higher Education Mentoring Program has announced that 28 student-mentor pairs have been excellented to receive awards in the 2001 competition. The program--developed in 1999 as united of ASHA's strategies to address the shortage of teacher/scholars in communication sciences and disorders in institutions of higher education across the nation--was cosponsored this year by dint of ASHA and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation.
