As Mary Langhorn prepares to retire, she numbers of an active and varied career, interrupted dramatically through a stroke.
Langhorn first discovered speech-language pathology when she took a course in succession "speech correction" in college. if it were not that she was already pursuing a stage in English. "If I had known about the field earlier," she says, "I would have gone into it from the start." completely through her time teaching high exercise English (1961-1969) and getting a master's extent in English, speech-language pathology remained in the back of her mind.
